My profuse apologies to you, the expectant reader, I have moved shop to prolongedsigh.wordpress.com. The good works will continue there and I leave this site to become like so many other forgotten places in the vastness of the web.

The next piece will take a little more time to write due to it being fraught with sensitivity. The recent protests across the Middle-East and North Africa (after the spectacularly offensive, and incidentally awful, "Innocence of Muslims" video gaining notoriety in Egypt) raise some very important questions as to the nature of faith and level of reasonable discourse that exists between the involved states. This is an incredibly complex issue and I want to deal with it appropriately and hopefully without offence if possible.

If you've had even an iota of appreciation for the articles found here, I would highly recommend wandering over to http://subterraneanhomesicktheorist.wordpress.com for some further nourishment. Simply excellent.

Pleased to say the new article is available for your attention. Make it past the first line if you would be so kind, it doesn't speak to the whole tone of the article but I will enjoy the thought of your raised eyebrows.

Thursday 13 September 2012

Well good afternoon. I've been distracted, such is my way, by another issue and UK Governance: Part 2 will have to wait. I take a keen interest in American politics but this means paying attention to the overall discourse in order to achieve a solid perspective. This means exposing myself, far more frequently than I'd ever otherwise desire, to the fetid institution that is Fox News. I would like to have a look at the state of news media with a comparison of the UK's bodies vs the USA's. Could be some surprises in this one. Coming up.

Sunday 9 September 2012

And it's up, the first part in an unintended serial lambasting our most presently ignoble of governments. Unintended as I didn't really want to spend a terribly long time depressing myself with endless criticism of my own nation but it turns out that's what it will take to do the topic justice. Prolonged sigh indeed.

Wednesday 5 September 2012

The next article going up soon will discuss the state of governance in the UK, which I would describe as being stuck between a rock and a hard place. The rock being the Tories, replete with all their incompetence, and Labour, my hard place, so burdened by hypocrisy, amnesia, and an utterly rancid political culture. Sorry Lib Dems. Maybe next time.
